Transparently calculated
Method behind the pension gap calculator
Assumptions and limits of the simplified timeline from today’s provision to your desired retirement.
What goes into the calculation.
- current age
- desired monthly net income in retirement
- expected state and occupational pension
- existing retirement capital
How the model works.
Step 1
Monthly gap = desired amount minus expected provision, at least zero.
Step 2
Model requirement = monthly gap times twelve months times twenty years of withdrawals.
Step 3
Existing capital and the required savings rate are modelled up to age 67 at a constant 4% per year.
The result is an order of magnitude, not a pension statement. For real planning, use your Renteninformation and the Digitale Rentenübersicht.
What the figure does not claim.
- inflation and loss of purchasing power
- taxes and product costs
- individual taxation of pensions
- life expectancy and withdrawal risk
- guarantees or specific product performance
The output is a non-binding model calculation and not individual financial advice, a guaranteed return or a loan approval.
